the lowdown
Slow Threads was a brand new sustainable fashion fair in Glasgow, which meant building the whole identity (and name) from scratch, on a tight budget and a tight timeframe. It needed to feel young and exciting while staying flexible enough to stretch across social, print and on-site signage.

creative direction
I led the identity development, working within Hubbub's existing colour palette and typography. Their core font became the main visual device, adapted into expressive and flexible layouts that did a lot of the heavy lifting. To bring fashion into it, I introduced material-led textures that subtly referenced fabric and craft, adding depth and making stock imagery feel more considered and making the most of the budget.
and then what?
The system was flexible enough that the team could adapt assets quickly as the event came together, keeping everything coherent without a big production lift.
